Easy Apple Pie Recipes

A traditional meal isn’t complete until you’ve had a slice of some fresh baked apple pie. Here are several easy apple pie recipes to serve your holiday guests this season.

Easy Apple Pie in a Bag

You’ll need:

5 large green apples
One pre-made, uncooked pie shell bottom
¾ cup of sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons of flour

Slice and core your apples (peel them as well if you desire!). Mix the sugar, cinnamon and flour together and then coat the apples with the mixture. Place apples into the bottom pie shell (make sure you poke a few holes into the bottom of pie shell or it will puff up).

For your topping:

Take 1 cube of butter, 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of flour, mix until crumbly. This becomes the top of your pie. Add pecans or walnuts if inspired – then place on top of the apples.

Bake your easy apple pie in a brown paper bag in the oven at 400 degrees for one hour. Out will come an incredibly moist and savory dessert!

Easy as Apple Pie

This recipe comes from famed chef Curtis Atkins of the Food Network. It really is an easy apple pie to create and most importantly – it’s delicious!

You’ll need:
3-4 medium apples (peeled, sliced and cored)
1 cup sugar
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ stick unsalted butter (sliced up)
2 store bought pie crusts

Place your bottom crusts into a pan. Add apples, sprinkle them with nutmeg and sugar. Top with butter and then add the top of the pie crusts. Poke holes in the top of the pie crust before baking at 375 degrees for one hour.

Easy Apple Cobbler

The chefs at RecipeZaar.com have outdone themselves with this savory apple dessert:

You’ll need:

3 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 large egg
½ cup butter, melted

Place the apples in a greased baking dish (8 x 8 inches)
Mix the flour, sugar, cinnamon and egg until it is crumbly.
Sprinkle topping over the apples and then add the melted butter.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and serve with vanilla ice cream/frozen yogurt!
