Supplies needed for mummy costume:
- tan material( 2-3 yards)
- thermal underwear
- scissors
- fabric glue
- tea (for ageing)
1- Tear the material into strips.2 to 3 inches.
2- Start wrapping the strips around the pants legs.As you go, glue along the way.Do not wrap them too tight but snugly.The thermals will stretch a little when they are put on.
3- Repeat this with the top.Let dry completely overnight.(You can sew these on if you wish to.)
4- To get the aged look use tea to soak the costume in.Or splash the tea on the costume.
5- Wrap your mummy's head with some pre-aged strips.Do not cover the face.
6- Wrap the hands in smaller strips if your child will let you.
By using separate pieces your child can still go to the bathroom with out having to take off the whole outfit.
