Valentine PB and Js

Having a Valentine's Day party and want to have something available for picky eaters? Try these easy to make kid pleasers, Valentine PB and Js.

To make these Valentine PB and Js you need bread dough, pink food coloring, and a heart shaped cookie cutter.

You can either make bread dough from scratch and follow the recipe’s instructions or buy store bought frozen bread dough to make the pink marbled bread. Just add food coloring to the dough, kneed well, and set the dough aside to rise for about 45 minutes to an hour.  If you are using frozen dough, follow the package instructions.

Then once the dough has risen, place the dough in the oven to make the bread.  Cooking time and temperature varies so follow the instructions that comes with the package.

Once the bread has cooked and had time to cool, you can cut your bread into heart shaped slices.   OR you can just slice the bread as is for pretty pink sandwiches.  To cut the bread into heart shapes place a cookie cutter over the slice and cut around.

Add your favorite sandwich toppings.  Peanut butter and jelly is perfect for kids!
